At Enterprise Holdings, we have a long-standing tradition of helping local communities, the United Way, and a wide variety of charitable organizations, causes, and events in which our employees are involved. That tradition grows stronger every year, and now it flourishes globally.
Enterprise Holdings Foundation
In 1982, company founder Jack C. Taylor created the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation. This charitable arm of Enterprise was established to allow us to give back to the communities where we live and work. In 2009, the Enterprise Rent-A-Car foundation became the Enterprise Holdings Foundation. Building off of suggestions and requests from our employees, the foundation has given more than $100 million to numerous not-for-profit organizations in the local communities where we do business.
Our employees...our families...our customers
Unlike the charitable contributions of most companies, our giving is almost entirely employee driven. And it’s never too early to get involved. We’ve granted funding requests from employees of all levels who’ve been with us as little as three months. We also consider requests from spouses of employees and customers we have an especially close relationship with. These are the people who best know their local communities and best know how we can help.
More than dollars
Often, the support we provide is financial, but we don’t define our mission in terms of dollars. Our mission is to support our employees’ involvement in their local communities and encourage them to develop into true participants and business partners in the neighborhoods in which they live and work every day.
Social responsibility
Enterprise Holdings also has a comprehensive Community Relations initiative in place. This establishes and maintains both national and local partnerships with leading civic, charitable, minority and women’s organizations. It also makes policy decisions on issues of social responsibility that affect our entire company. Our goal is to continually ensure that Enterprise Holdings is an inclusive and welcoming organization for all people as employees, customers, and valued suppliers.
